Ref. Management

JITCoS: Journal of Information Technology and Computer System requires all submitted manuscripts to properly manage and format references to ensure citation accuracy, avoid plagiarism, and maintain scholarly integrity.

Citation Style

Authors must use the APA, 6th edition in alphabetical order citation style for both in-text citations and the reference list. References must be numbered in the order of appearance in the text and enclosed in square brackets, e.g., [Lu et al., 2020], [Abburi et al., 2021], etc.

Reference Manager Tools

Authors are strongly encouraged to use citation and bibliography management tools such as:

  • Mendeley – Free, widely used, and supports APA style.
  • Zotero – Open-source and easy to use for APA references.
  • EndNote – Preferred in some institutions, supports advanced bibliography control.

Minimum Reference Requirements

  • References must include at least 20 scholarly sources (journal articles, books, conference papers).
  • At least 50% of references should be from the last 5 years.
  • Sources must be relevant, credible, and properly cited.
Note: Manuscripts with poorly formatted or inconsistent references may be returned to authors for revision before peer review.
