Peer Review Process
JECEN: Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering implements a two-stage review process designed to ensure high-quality scholarly communication. The process includes:
The initial review is conducted by the main editor, who checks for plagiarism and ensures that the manuscript is appropriate for peer review.
Editors are allocated around four weeks to complete the initial review, though this duration may vary depending on the number of submissions.
Manuscripts that pass the initial stage are then forwarded to the section editor to initiate the financial review process.
Each manuscript is assigned to two independent reviewers based on their experience, expertise, and thematic relevance.
JECEN applies a double-blind review process — the reviewers are unaware of the authors' identity and vice versa.
Criteria for Manuscript Acceptance:
1. Contribution of knowledge in the fields of Electrical Engineering and Computerization.
2. Use of relevant literature and validation of results through existing journal studies.
3. Clearly stated research and/or development goals.
4. Application of appropriate methodologies.
5. Completeness in data collection, analysis, and discussion, with references to previous work.
6. Compliance with author guidelines provided by JECEN.
7. Plagiarism check results must indicate less than 25% similarity.
If all criteria are met, the manuscript will be forwarded for review. The entire review process typically takes about three months, and publication may take up to five months.
Authors must address reviewers' comments. Manuscripts that are not revised accordingly will not be published.
